Cold Blooded
Mac OBrien unveils the second single from her debut album under her new moniker, set for release on October 24th. Titled Cold Blooded, the track was co-written in Nashville by OBrien, acclaimed producer Brett Boyett (Travis Tritt, Lauren Alaina, Trisha Yearwood) , and Los Angeles-based artist Will Champlin. The song showcases a rich blend of musical talent, featuring banjo virtuoso Ilya Toshinsky and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus on bass, alongside a lineup of distinguished Nashville session musicians.
Vocals are shared by Champlin and OBrien, delivering a compelling narrative about two individuals irresistibly drawn to one another despite the toxic nature of their relationship. Cold Blooded follows the August release of Heavy Chains, the album’s lead single, which introduced OBrien’s bold new artistic direction—a fusion of rock and country marked by gritty guitar work and emotionally raw lyrics.
